About Organizational Design Community (ODC)

Organizational Design Community is an international community of scholars, executives, and organizations dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of organization design. ODC seeks to be the preeminent community where research, practice, and learning intersect to produce valuable design knowledge and applications.

To access the community area you need to be a member of the community. The community offers a broad range of activities and services all created by members, for members. The community is both for persons from the academic and corporate world.

As a member, you can participate in the ODC annual conference free of charge. Jay Galbraith (1939-2014)

ODC has learned that Jay Galbraith, one of our founding members, passed away last week. That same week, the Journal of Organization Design published a special issue on big data and organization design with the lead article written by Jay. The special issue was the culmination of the World Summit on Big Data and Organization Design, held in Paris in May 2013. Jay was one of the keynote speakers in Paris. Also, the third edition of his book Designing Organizations was published just a few weeks ago.

It is a great pleasure to announce that the Organizational Design Community has published volume 3, issue number 1, 2014, of the Journal of Organization Design. This is a special issue on Big Data and Organization Design and has been edited by Richard Burton, Dolly Mastrangelo, and Fabrizio Salvador.
