Ecosystem as an Organization Design Choice and Designing an Ecosystem
9th March 2023, Thursday at 9am Eastern Time“What makes ecosystems distinct? Taking an comparative institutional perspective, Michael G Jacobides will draw on his latest work on how ecosystems both emerge as the response to failures of other designs, and how they entail inherent failures of their own. Having considered what makes ecosystems attractive and the failures they then engender, Michael will consider the key challenges in designing an ecosystem. Drawing on theory and practice alike (with respect to strategy and policy) he will look at what we know and what we yet have to learn about ecosystem design”
