Professor Havagreeva Rao (Stanford Graduate School of Business) will facilitate a panel featuring Tim K. Nowles (President Carnegie Foundation), Mike Goldstein (President Bridge Schools), Ramji Raghavan (CEO Agastya Foundation) and Kiran Desai (Principal, Riverside School, Ahmedabad).

Kiran Sethi has pioneered a school around design thinking in India and also developed an initiative to make cities child-friendly

Mike Goldstein has been the Chief Academic Officer at Bridge Academies in Africa and is the founder of Match Education - a college prep school for low income students, and the Charles Sposato School of Education. Match education team.

Ramji Raghvan, (Agastyausa)has led a movement in India that has touched many students and is also scaling design thinking education

Tim Kowels is the President of Carnegie Foundation and a pioneer in school education and is now working on an educational equity project with far reaching consequences). 

The conversation between Professor Havagreeva Rao and the panelists will focus on the following:

  • What do curiosity and generosity mean in the context of schools for children? 
  • What is the biggest challenges that the panelists had to overcome during incubation and scaling? 
  • What have the panelists learned from failures in designing such schools?
  • What can be done internationally to facilitate a two way flow of knowledge and ideas?
