"Experimental Methods for Organization Design Researchers"

In the webinar we will discuss why experimental methods are a useful tool to push the boundaries of managerial and organizational studies and advance organization design. We plan for an interactive session in which we will present the central characteristics of different experimental methods. We will focus on the important aspects of experimental design and discuss possibilities as well as limitations of various designs. Several small exercises will provide us with the opportunity to discuss do’s and don’ts and elaborate on why experimental methods may have not been adopted more frequently so far. The webinar will end with a discussion of what could be promising paths for future research.

This webinar is targeted towards researchers who have recently started to work on experiments, or who might consider to work with experiments in the future, and who seek for additional background information. 

Daniella Laureiro-Martinez is Senior Faculty at ETH Zurich. She received her PhD in business administration from Bocconi University. Her research focuses on the cognitive antecedents of strategic decision making.

Stephan Billinger is currently the Head of the Strategic Organization Design unit at the University of Southern Denmark. He received his PhD in business administration from the University of St. Gallen. His research focuses on the design of organizational micro-structures and the behaviors therein.
